York Revolution News Release
(York Pa): The York Revolution's game originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 3 at the Bridgeport Bluefish was rained out. Because the Revolution are not scheduled to visit Connecticut again this season, the game will be made up at Sovereign Bank Stadium on Tuesday, September 9 as part of a doubleheader.
The gates this Tuesday at Sovereign Bank Stadium will open at 4:45 p.m., and the first pitch of game one is scheduled for 5:07 p.m. Please make note of the change, as on all previous schedules, the Revolution are slated to play Bridgeport 7:07 p.m. that evening in a single game. There will be roughly a 30-minute break in-between games.
Atlantic League rules dictate that doubleheader games last just seven innings apiece, not nine. York will also be the home team for both games.
Tuesday is also "Beach Night" at Sovereign Bank Stadium, presented by the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. Fans are encouraged to wear their gaudy floral shirt, but flip flops are optional. The first 2,000 fans through the gates will also receive a free bottle koozie, courtesy of Yorktowne Embroidery Works.
The Revolution are currently in first place in the Atlantic League's Freedom Division, two games ahead of the Newark Bears for a playoff spot. Including Tuesday's doubleheader against Bridgeport, 11 home games remain in the 2008 season. For ticket information, call 717-801-HITS, or logon to www.YorkRevolution.com.
