New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (7-3-3; 24 pts.) return home to Gillette Stadium to host Chicago Fire FC (3-4-6; 15 pts.) on Saturday night. The club's annual Salute to Heroes match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish. The action can also be heard on the radio locally on 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2, with Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies calling the action, and on 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA in Portuguese. Start every Saturday with "The Soccer Show" on 98.5 The Sports Hub, hosted by DJ Bean, at 6:00 a.m. ET and available on demand.

New England resumes the home portion of its 2023 schedule after playing the last three games on the road. The Revolution are one of six MLS teams still unbeaten at home with a 4-0-2 record in Foxborough. New England is outscoring opponents at a 12-3 clip in regular season action, highlighted by three clean sheets. Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena, the winningest coach in MLS history, has led New England to points in 47 of his 57 league matches at Gillette Stadium since taking over in June 2019, with a 28-10-19 (.658) home record.

Under Arena, the Revolution have yet to lose to Chicago in eight meetings, with three wins and five draws. The two sides have split the points from each of their last three encounters, including a 1-1 duel to conclude the 2022 season at SeatGeek Stadium on MLS Decision Day. Forward Jozy Altidore, who collected his 200th MLS appearance last Saturday at Philadelphia, leads the Revolution roster with eight goals scored against Chicago. Meanwhile, defender DeJuan Jones enters the weekend on the cusp of his 100th MLS start, while Andrew Farrell is poised to become the first Revolution player to eclipse 30,000 minutes played in all competitions.

New England will look to bounce back into the win column this weekend on the heels of its first losing streak in 2023. The Revolution fell to Philadelphia, 3-0, on Saturday at Subaru Park. The two sides battled through a scoreless first half, before Philadelphia netted all three of its goals after the intermission. Four Homegrown Players featured in last Saturday's match in midfielders Noel Buck, Esmir Bajraktarević, and Jack Panayotou, and forward Justin Rennicks. Buck has appeared in all 13 league contests this season, with 11 starts.

Chicago is 1-1-1 over its last three matches under the guidance of Frank Klopas, who assumed the role of interim head coach following the dismissal of Ezra Hendrickson earlier this month. The club battled Atlanta United to a 3-3 draw at home last weekend, with forward Georgios Koutsias netting the game-tying goal in the 89th minute. Veteran forward Kei Kamara, who played with New England from 2016-17, leads the Fire with a team-high four goals scored this season. Kamara ranks third in MLS history with 143 regular season tallies, trailing only Landon Donovan and Chris Wondolowski on the all-time scoring list.

Salute to Heroes Night

As Memorial Day weekend kicks off, the Revolution will host their annual Salute to Heroes match at Gillette Stadium, celebrating those who keep our communities safe every day by honoring local military, police, fire, and first responders throughout the evening. Revolution players will wear Salute to Heroes patches on their jerseys, with the shirts to be auctioned off to benefit adaptive soccer programming at the VA of Boston. Prior to the match, the Revolution are holding a Drive Series presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group, collecting new and gently used soccer equipment to benefit the United Heroes League. On the field, the American flag will be unfurled by active and retired military members. At halftime, the fan-favorite bubble soccer game will feature a unique matchup between Army and Navy, a novel preview of the iconic college football showcase coming to Gillette Stadium this December. Following the conclusion of the match, fans are encouraged to remain in their seats for a postgame fireworks display.
