Houston Dynamo FC Loan FW Roberto Avila to Charleston Battery

HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC will loan 22-year-old forward Roberto "Beto" Avila to Charleston Battery in the USL Championship for the remainder of the year, the clubs announced today.

Avila signed a first team contract on May 6, 2022 after a stellar start to the inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season. The forward scored five goals for Dynamo 2 in the first five matches of the campaign. Since 2022, Avila has tallied eight goals and seven assists in 20 appearances for Dynamo 2.

The 22-year-old made eight appearances for the first team last season. The forward has scored two goals and tallied three assists for Dynamo 2 this season.
