New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution fans now have the chance to bid for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on the field for the team's highly-anticipated Aug. 30 match against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The New England Revolution Charitable Foundation today launched two separate online charitable auctions at eBay (www.ebay.com) where fans can place bids for the opportunity to walk onto the field hand-in-hand with New England and Los Angeles' starters prior to the national anthem and team introductions on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Gillette Stadium.

Bidders can bid on either the Revolution auction, or the Galaxy auction. Each auction includes the 11 player escorts for the specific team on which the bid was placed. The player escorts will also receive a t-shirt for the event. Commemorative pictures of each child next to his or her player on the field will be taken and provided to the winning bidder.

The minimum bid for each team's player escorts is $1,000. (Each team's 11 escorts will be auctioned as a group, not individually.)

Auctions can be accessed by typing in keywords "Revolution Player Escorts" and "Galaxy Player Escorts" at the eBay homepage. Player escorts must be ages 8-12. One hundred percent (100%) of proceeds from the auctions will go to the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation, the not-for-profit charitable arm of the Revolution.

The auctions for the two teams' escorts will expire between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, and the winners will be notified by the New England Revolution with explicit gameday instructions, as well as information about the required pre-game rehearsal.
