York Revolution News Release
The York Revolution, York's new professional baseball team, has announced home game times and fireworks dates for the 2007 Atlantic League inaugural season. With a few exceptions, games will begin at 7:05 p.m. on Monday-Saturday, with Sunday home games being scheduled for 2:05 or 6:05 p.m. Sovereign Bank Stadium will also play host to 14 fireworks nights throughout the season, mostly following Saturday night games.
The exceptions to these game times will be on Memorial Day (May 28) and Labor Day (September 3) - both Monday's - when games will begin at 2:05 p.m. The Revolution has also tentatively scheduled an 11:05 a.m. game for Thursday, September 6, which will be an Education Day geared towards local students. Sunday home games in May, June and September will begin at 2:05 p.m., while most Sunday games in July and August will have a 6:05 p.m. first pitch (July 8 and August 26 games will start at 2:05 p.m.). All game times are subject to change.
"We decided on these game times based largely on feedback we have received from our fans and ticket holders," said General Manager Matt O'Brien. "These times will best allow us to accommodate the schedules of the majority of our fans."
The 2007 promotional schedule will be highlighted by 14 post-game fireworks nights - including Opening Night on Tuesday, May 15 and the final game of the inaugural season on Thursday, September 13. Fireworks will also follow all ten Saturday home games, along with games on Monday, July 2 - as part of a Fourth of July celebration - and Wednesday, July 25.
Revolution fans can now also begin taking advantage of the many group event options that will be offered at Sovereign Bank Stadium. Designed to accommodate groups of 25 and up, the ballpark will feature a picnic pavilion, party suites, group field box seats and the Turkey Hill Birthday Zone. Many group options include all-you-can-eat buffets and other mouth-watering menu options. Complete details and pricing can be found by visiting www.YorkRevolution.com/groupevents.cfm.
Groups booking their event with the Revolution can also take advantage of a full line-up of incentives including - but not limited to - taking batting practice on the field, throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, performing the National Anthem and singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Group incentives are based on group size.
Revolution inaugural season ticket packages and group events can now be purchased online at www.YorkRevolution.com, or by calling 717-801-HITS.
