
Rev. Wayne Woodard to Discuss Pensacola Sports Museum on Pelicans Show

The Pensacola Pelicans announced today Rev. Wayne Woodard will be the featured guest on the Pelicans Coaches Radio Show on Saturday, Aug. 19. The weekly show broadcasts LIVE from New York Nicks off Palafox Street in downtown Pensacola on AM 1620 from noon to 1 p.m.
Woodard is the President of Pensacola Dream Achievers, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to raise funds to build a sports museum to showcase the Pensacola area's great athletes and coaches accomplishments and championships. The organization recently announced the plan to build the museum at the Community Maritime Park, which will memorialize the history of sports in the Pensacola area. The museum will function to preserve the history of sports in the community, to honor accomplished athletes, and to serve as a source of education and inspiration now and for generations to come.
Candidates for the museum include Emmit Smith, Roy Jones, Jr., Buck Showalter, Travis Fryman, Oliver Darden, Derrick Brooks, Justin Gatlin, Joe Durant, Jerry Pate, and Don Sutton to name a few.
Prior to Pensacola Dream Achievers, Woodard was the President of Christian Fellowship Church Association and is the current Pastor of Great Commission Church.
Hosts Paul Chestnutt and Jason Libbert will also be joined by Pelicans Manager Kash Beauchamp to discuss his team and their current road trip in Shreveport. After the three-day trip, the Pelicans return home for the last home stand of the season Sunday, Aug. 20 through Saturday, Aug. 26. Friday is Fan Appreciation Night and Saturday is the Pelicans last game of the season with post-game fireworks.
