
Reno Bighorns Fall to Idaho Stampede

Reno, NV - The Reno Bighorns fell to the Idaho Stampede 119-101, Saturday night, at the Reno Events Center. The Bighorns are now 23-14 this season.
The Idaho Stampede led the first quarter, with the help of Kevin Murphy's 18 points. Derrick Caracter added another 10 points. To end the first 12 minutes, Idaho had 40, Reno 25.
After leading by as many as 15 points, the Bighorns cut the Stampede's lead to 5 in the second quarter. Reno was unable to catch up to Idaho, despite coming close. Going into the second half, Reno trailed Idaho, 62-55.
The Stampede gained a 25 point lead in the third quarter. Idaho went on an 8-0 run (6:14-4:22) to give them that 25 point advantage. The Stampede also outscored the Bighorns 28-15 in the third quarter alone. Going into the final 12 minutes, Idaho led 90-70.
The fourth quarter, the Stampede had their biggest lead of the night at 27 points. KC Rivers scored 12 points in the fourth quarter alone, but it wasn't enough for Reno to make a last minute comeback.
The Bighorns' KC Rivers had a team high 26 points. Mo Charlo contributed 11 points and 5 rebounds. Sundiata Gaines was also in double figures with 14 points. Trent Lockett also added 12 points.
Kevin Murphy scored a game-high 33 points. Derrick Caracter grabbed a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. CJ Leslie also scored a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Also in double figures were: Scott Machado (20) and Darnell Lazare (16).
