From the Notes
Doubleheader History: The Aces have played 19 doubleheaders in team history, and they have a 19-19 record all-time in doubleheader affairs. They've swept doubleheaders five times, been swept five times and have split the nine others. Reno has played four doubleheaders this season, and they are 6-2 in those six contests. They split a twinbill at Salt Lake on May 10, picked up sweeps on May 27 at Iowa and June 27 at home vs. Fresno, and then split a doubleheader on July 7 vs. Sacramento.
Can't Stop Pete: Peter O'Brien has racked up multi-hit performances in four of his last seven games and five of his last ten overall. Over his last five games, O'Brien has hit .500 (10-for-20) with 3 RBI, 3 runs scored, 2 doubles and 2 triples. His triple in the eighth inning Saturday night was hit No. 400 of his career.
Evans In the Zone: Nick Evans has now hit safely in each of his last 16 games, a stretch in which he's posted a .397 average (25-for-63). His 16-game streak eclipses former Ace Garrett Weber's 15-gamer set earlier this season from April 27-May 13. Evans is just three games shy of matching his career-high hitting streak of 19 games set with Triple-A Buffalo in 2011.
Power Outage: The Aces have not homered since they lost at Tacoma on August 9. In that game, Nick Buss homered in the first and fourth innings, and Danny Dorn hit a three-run shot in the third. The five-game homerless drought is the longest by the Aces this season.
