Rome Renegades News Release
ROME, Ga. â The Renegades next home game, Sunday, May 8, has a new start time. The kick-off, originally scheduled for 2 p.m., has been pushed back until 5 p.m. due to a facility issue. The Forum's arena will be used to host an event that will not conclude until late into Saturday night, and the three hour delay allows the Renegades staff more time to prepare the venue for indoor play. "Our preparation work usually takes six hours, and we would like to have the field fully functional for warm-ups with three to four hours prior to kick-off. This time change will help to make that possible," said Renegades chief operations officer, David Humphreys.
As the only Sunday game of the season as well as Mother's Day, the Renegades look to a 5 p.m. kick-off to be more accommodating for fans and family schedules. Singing the game's national anthum will be six year old, Tori Overby and performing at half time will be singing evangelist, Kirk Ayers. Kirk sung the opening night's national anthem, and the Renegades are pleased to have him perform once again. Join us Sunday, May 8 for the most action packed family fun you will ever experience!
