Reigning Canadian Champ Cf Montréal to Begin Title Defense in Halifax

MONTREAL - Following a draw that took place on Friday morning to determine where its first 2021 Canadian Championship game would be played, CF Montréal will begin its title defense against HFX Wanderers FC at the Wanderers Grounds, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This quarter-final match will be played on Wednesday, September 22. The time is to be determined.

Since both clubs wanted to host this game, a draw had to take place, according to Canada Soccer rules.

In the previous round of the tournament, HFX Wanderers FC defeated AS Blainville on August 17 by a score of 2-1.
