Reign Win Streak Comes to An End with 3-0 Loss

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (33-11-1-2), defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, saw their nine-game win streak come to an end as the Utah Grizzlies (17-19-2-4) shut them out 3-0 on Saturday night before a crowd of 8,939 at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
Grizzlies forward Colin Vock single-handedly silenced the Reign with his second straight Hat Trick in Ontario.
Utah drew first blood late in the second period. After a five-man scrum put two Reign players in the penalty box, JF Berube stopped Nick Tuzzolino's shot from the point but the rebound slipped out just enough for Vock to slam it past the goalie's glove side.
Ontario didn't get a single shot on goal through the second frame but Berube made 10 saves on the Grizzlies.
Utah then took a 2-0 lead in the third period when Vock lit the lamp for his second goal of the night. The forward was found by Bryan Cameron whose pass threaded the needle through traffic to get to Vock who scored five hole. With just nine seconds left on the clock Vock earned the Hat Trick with an empty-net goal.
Berube took the loss stopping 24 of 26 shots and Andrew Engelage earned his first shutout of the season stopping all 24 Reign attempts. Three Stars: 1. UTA - Colin Vock 2. UTA - Andrew Engelage 3.
