Reign FC Waive Defender Antonia Göransson

Seattle Reign FC News Release


SEATTLE - Seattle Reign FC today announced that the club has waived defender Antonia Göransson. Reign FC and Göransson mutually agreed that as the result of a medical issue, it would be best for Göransson to return to Sweden and forgo play in the NWSL this season.

Göransson was signed by Reign FC on Nov. 25, 2015. She most recently played with Vittsjö GIK of the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

Reign FC currently has 26 players participating in its 2016 Health Warrior Training Camp. Seattle will travel to Portland for its first pre-season match this Sunday at 5 p.m. against Thorns FC.
