Seattle Reign FC News Release

Seattle, WA - Seattle Reign FC has scheduled a home friendly against the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team. The game will be played at 6pm on Sunday, July 7 on the Moda Health Pitch at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila.

The match will be an exclusive event for Reign FC season ticket holders - tickets will not be made available to the general public. In addition to the match, all season ticket holders will be invited to participate in a post-game Q&A session with the ownership, players and coaching staff of Reign FC.

"This game represents a fantastic opportunity for our club to evaluate the best young talent in the USA," said Laura Harvey, Reign FC Head Coach and General Manager. "It will provide our most committed fans the chance to see some of the future stars of the NWSL."

The U.S. U-20 WNT is led by former U.S. WNT player Michelle French. French grew up in Bellevue, Wash. and played collegiate soccer at the University of Portland. She earned 14 caps and 11 starts with the senior U.S. WNT. After her professional career, French became a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Washington in 2005 and coached at Eastside FC in Bellevue. French was named head coach of the U.S. U-20 WNT in February 2013.

Although the U.S. U-20 WNT roster for the match has not yet been set, the U-20 player pool is deep and features some standout talent that should give Reign FC a very competitive match.

Forward Lindsey Horan has 12 goals and 5 assists in 14 appearances for the U-20 squad. She also has seen time with the U.S. Senior WNT and plays professionally for Paris Saint- Germain in the French women's league - Division 1 Féminine.

The U-20 squad also features several players that competed in the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's College Cup Final Four, including Stanford defender Laura Liedle, Florida State defender Yulie Lopez, Penn State forward Mallory Weber, and three players from the College Cup champions, North Carolina - defender Hanna Gardner, midfielder Caroline Lindquist and midfielder Reilly Parker.

The match will not be available via live stream. However, fans will be able to follow the action online at the Seattle Reign FC Facebook page and on Twitter at @SeattleReignFC.
