Reign FC Defender Amanda Frisbie Called up to US U-23 Team

SEATTLE - Feb. 21, 2014 - US U-23 head coach Steven Swanson has called up Seattle defender Amanda Frisbie for the upcoming 2014 Six Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain.

The U-23's will play three international matches against Japan (March 1), Sweden (March 3), and Norway (March 5).

Seattle selected the University of Portland product with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NWSL College Draft. Frisbie was an NSCAA First Team All-American in 2013, Portland's first All-American since 2009.

Frisbie made the transition from forward to defender in 2013 and still finished second on the team in goals with eight. The Pilot started in all 20 of her appearances totaling 1,710 minutes. Frisbie's standout senior campaign earned her First Team All-WCC and WCC Defender of the Year honors.
