Reign FC Announce Updated Preseason Roster

Seattle -- Seattle Reign FC today announced its 25-player preseason roster of in-market players as the club continues Preseason Training Camp presented by UW Medicine. The roster includes 17 players under contract, 4 players acquired in the Boston dispersal draft, 2 NWSL College Draft Picks, and 9 non-roster invitees.

Of the 32 players included on the roster, 23 are currently in camp.

After a strong showing during the first week of preseason, midfielder Rachel Corboz returned to Georgetown to complete her studies prior to graduation in the spring. Non-roster invitees Tara Maier and Alex Quincey were released from camp last week. Non-roster invitee Rosie McShane was added to the roster last week.

Reign FC co-captain Lauren Barnes reported to camp earlier today after a short break following the Australian W-League season.

2018 NWSL College Draft Pick (CDP)

Allie Long and Megan Rapinoe are both with the U.S. Women's National Team at the SheBelieves Cup through Wednesday of this week. Both will report to Reign FC training camp after the completion of the SheBelieves Cup. Additionally, Jodie Taylor is competing in the SheBelieves Cup with England and is expected to join Reign FC by the end of this week.

Lydia Williams and Steph Catley are in Portugal playing in the Algarve Cup with the Australian Women's National Team. The pair will remain with the Australian WNT until April 23, as they prepare for and participate in the Asian Cup, which will determine the teams from the Asian Football Confederation that participate in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.

Rumi Utsugi (Japan) and Theresa Nielsen (Denmark) are both competing with their respective national teams in the Algarve Cup in Portugal. They will both report back to Reign FC training by end-of-week.

Welsh midfielder Jess Fishlock is on international duty with Wales, competing in the Cyprus Cup in Cyprus. She is expected to report to training camp on March 9.

Celia Jimenez Delgado, who was acquired by Reign FC with the 36th pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft, is completing her degree in aerospace engineering at Alabama and is expected to join Seattle in May.

Reign FC's first preseason match, against the University of Washington, is scheduled for Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. PT at Husky Soccer Stadium. The club's second preseason match, against UCLA, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m. PT at the SilverLakes Complex in Norco, CA.

Seattle Reign FC will begin the 2018 NWSL Regular Season with a home match against the Washington Spirit on Saturday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. PT on the UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium.
