
Regnier Leads Mallards in Sweep of Kingfish

Madison, Wis. - The Madison Mallards (7-3) finished a sweep of the Kenosha Kingfish (4-6) tonight in a four game home-and-home series by a score of 13-4 at the "Duck Pond."
Left fielder Logan Regnier (Central Michigan) led the Mallards offensively, going 4-4 with two doubles and two singles, driving in one run while scoring three times.
Tom Constand (2-0) pitched 5.1 innings of one run ball for the Mallards, walking two and striking out four to move to 2-0 on the year. Kingfish starter Trevor Hass (Valparaiso) lasted three innings to receive the loss, giving up nine runs on three hits while walking two.
The game was topped off when first baseman Pete Alonso (Florida) hit a 407-foot three run homer in the eighth inning to bring the Mallards tally to 13 runs. Alonso went 3-5 on the night with three hits and led the Mallards with five RBI. Also homering for the Mallards was catcher Tommy Hook (Northern Illinois) to record his first deep ball of the year.
The Mallards continue their four game homestand tomorrow in a two game series versus the Green Bay Bullfrogs. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
Tomorrow's game will feature in-game entertainment by The Russian Bar Trio presented by Charter Communications.
