Rapid City Rush News Release

(Prescott Valley, AZ) - Trailing by a 2-1 score with less than three minutes remaining, the Rapid City Rush collected a pair of late goals to earn a 3-2 win over the Arizona Sundogs on Tuesday night. Konrad Reeder poured in a pair of goals, while Jeff Kyrzakos netted the game-winner with just twenty-three seconds left in regulation to kick off Rapid City's five-game road trip in winning fashion. With the win, the Rush maintain pace with the Missouri Mavericks, just one point ahead of Rapid City for third place in the Turner Conference.

Continuing his torrid pace for the Rush was forward Konrad Reeder who extended his point streak to eight games with a tally thirteen minutes into the contest. Reeder used his speed to fly by a defenseman on the left wing side before cutting around goaltender Scott Reid for his team-leading 28th of the season.

The second period provided a much different result as the Sundogs outshot the Rush 18-8 and collected a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead. Arizona got on the board at the 14:40 on a powerplay goal from Olivier Proulx who jammed in a shot from the crease area. Then the Sundogs took their first lead of the game less than three minutes later on a goal from Kevin Petovello, banking a shot off of Rush goaltender Tim Boron and in.

The final period was highly contested, but with just 2:24 left, Konrad Reeder potted his second of the night to even the score. Finally, Shawn Limpright's shot from the slot squeaked through Reid and sat in the crease for the easy tap-in by Jeff Kyrzakos and the 3-2 victory.
