
RedHawks Sign Erasmus, Release Two

FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed RHP Justin Erasmus and released LHP Adam Miller and INF Andy White, the club announced. Erasmus will be in uniform tonight as the RedHawks continue their four-game series with the Kansas City T-Bones at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, KS.
Erasmus, 24, spent last season in the Frontier League pitching for the Joliet Slammers and the Gateway Grizzlies. Overall, he was 4-2 with a 1.57 ERA and 20 saves with 26 strikeouts and 20 hits allowed in 34.1 innings pitched. With Joliet, Erasmus was 3-2 with a 1.82 ERA and 17 saves in 27 games. In six games with Gateway, he was 1-2 with a 0.00 ERA and three saves.
Erasmus, who was born in South Africa and is an Australian citizen, pitched this winter for the Melbourne Aces of the Australian Baseball League and was a teammate of RedHawks pitching coach Freddy Flores. He was 3-4 with a 3.48 ERA and four saves in 18 games (three starts) for the Aces this year.
Miller appeared in two games for the RedHawks and was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA. White batted .261 with two doubles, two RBIs and seven runs scored in seven games this year.
