Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks News Release

FARGO, ND - The first place Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks will be gunning for a milestone victory tonight as the club continues a three-game series against the St. Paul Saints at Newman Outdoor Field.

The RedHawks enter tonight's 7:02 p.m. game against the Saints with an all-time record of 999-630 (a .613 winning percentage) since starting play in the Northern League in 1996. The RedHawks have a 39-24 record this season, good for first place in the American Association North Division.

When Fargo-Moorhead wins its next game, the franchise will become just the fourth in modern independent baseball history to hit the 1,000 win plateau and the second American Association club to do so. The Winnipeg Goldeyes franchise, which began play in the Northern League in 1994, recorded their 1,000th win on June 16 against the Quebec Capitales. Both the Somerset Patriots and Bridgeport Bluefish, which play in the Atlantic League, reached 1,000 wins in 2012.
