Today's Game: The RedHawks open a four-day, six-game home series against the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The series will include doubleheaders on Sunday and Tuesday to make up for weather postponements during Omaha's last trip to Oklahoma City in May.

Last Game: Two key solo home runs by the New Orleans Zephyrs proved to be the difference in a 3-2 win against the RedHawks Friday at Zephyr Field. The Zephyrs took the early lead in the third inning, but Brett Wallace hit a two-run homer to right-center field in the fourth inning to give the RedHawks a 2-1 edge. New Orleans' Matt Downs responded with a home run in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game. Leading of the bottom of the sixth, Donovan Solano sent a high fly ball down the left field line that just grazed the foul pole for a solo home run that would be the game-winner. The RedHawks only put one runner on base after Solano's homer. RedHawks pitcher Asher Wojciechowski (3-3) threw his first career complete game in the loss. He went a career-high eight innings, allowed three runs and six hits, struck out seven and did not issue a walk.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Brett Oberholtzer returns to the mound looking to rebound from a brief outing in his last start...Oberholtzer pitched just 1/3 of an inning Monday against Round Rock in the shortest start of his career. With one out, six-straight batters reached safely, including the final four via walks. It was certainly surprising, as Oberholtzer had walked more than two batters in a game just twice all season. He was charged with four runs (three earned) and took the loss...Prior to his most recent start, Oberholtzer had allowed two or less runs and four or less hits in five of seven starts and was 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA during that time...Oberholtzer defeated the Storm Chasers June 7 in Omaha after he held them to one run on three hits over six innings with seven strikeouts. In two career starts against Omaha, he has allowed just three runs and eight hits over 12 innings...He ranks second on the team in several categories, including starts (13), wins (4), innings pitched (60.1) and strikeouts (54).

Against the Storm Chasers: 2013: 3-2 2012: 6-10 All-time: 113-100 In OKC: 57-49

In their last series, Omaha took two of three games at Werner Park earlier this month. The third meeting of the four-game series was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the first inning and will be resumed July 23...The RedHawks won both games of a weather-shortened two-game series in Oklahoma City in May by a combined score of 13-3 and clinched a winning home series against Omaha for the first time since June 26-29, 2010...During the 2012 season series, Omaha averaged 6.9 runs per game, but so far in 2013 they have scored a total of 14 runs and are batting .163...The RedHawks lead the all-time series with the Storm Chasers, 113-100, but Omaha entered 2013 having won four of the last five season series against Oklahoma City and three of four series in 2012.

Tonight's Jersey Auction: The RedHawks and Storm Chasers will wear special jerseys tonight that will be auctioned off with proceeds going toward American Red Cross disaster relief efforts throughout the state. The RedHawks will wear jerseys with "We Are Oklahoma" on the front, and Omaha's jerseys will have "We Support Oklahoma" on the front. The teams will wear similar jerseys when they meet again in Omaha in late July.

Halfway There: The RedHawks are 38-34 through 72 games, marking the halfway point of the 2013 schedule. Through 72 games last season, the RedHawks had a 42-30 record, the best since 1999 and tied for second-best in team history.

Going the Distance: Asher Wojciechowski's complete game last night was the first of his career (70 G/64 GS). His eight innings also surpassed his previous career high of 7.1 IP on Aug. 28, 2011 while pitching for High-A Dunedin against the Daytona Cubs. It was the first non rain-shortened complete game by a RedHawk since Dallas Keuchel did it in a 4-2 loss in Omaha on May 4, 2012. The last nine-inning complete game by a RedHawk was Luis Mendoza's no-hitter against Salt Lake on Aug. 14, 2009.

Starting Line: Gorkys Hernandez's one-out RBI double in the third inning yesterday ended a streak of 19.2 consecutive scoreless innings by RedHawks starting pitchers. During the New Orleans series, they allowed just three runs and 19 hits with 26 strikeouts and four walks over 25.1 IP. In the last nine games, OKC starting pitchers have allowed one or no runs five times, with six quality starts. Over the last seven games, the starting rotation has a 2.15 ERA (9 ER/37.2 IP).

Booming Brett: Brett Wallace is batting .422 (19x45) during his current 11-game hitting streak -- his season best. Wallace leads the RedHawks with a .327 batting average, 11 home runs, 37 RBI, and 15 doubles. Wallace's 28 hits in June are tied for fifth-most among Triple-A players. His 71 hits overall this season are third-most on Oklahoma City's roster, trailing team leader Jonathan Villar by three hits. However, Wallace has only played in 55 games with the RedHawks this season, 15 less than Villar.

Paredes Paradise: Jimmy Paredes went 2-for-3 in his return to the RedHawks yesterday. In 31 games with OKC, Paredes is batting .377 with 14 multi-hit games. Last season his 161 hits set a single-season club record, and he now has 204 hits in 155 games in his RedHawks career.

Full of Up-Zeid: Josh Zeid has brought some stability to the back end of the bullpen recently. Each of his last three appearances has resulted in saves, recording six strikeouts in 2.2 IP. Overall this season, Zeid is 5-for-5 in save opportunities.

Opening Acts: The RedHawks are 7-12 this season in series openers, with a 3-6 record at home. They have lost three of their last four series openers overall, including each of the last two in OKC.
