FARGO, ND - Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks announce a new three-year agreement for 740 The Fan to continue as the flagship radio station of the F-M RedHawks.

740 The Fan & Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead Sports Director Jack Michaels says the relationship between the RedHawks and 740 The Fan has been a great one. "We are pleased to continue our relationship with the FM RedHawks. The RedHawks are an important part of the Red River Valley sports scene and are a top-notch organization."

Michaels is the original "Voice of the RedHawks" and will return to the booth for several games this season replacing Scott Miller who passed away in February after a four-year battle with cancer. Michaels handled play-by-play for the RedHawks for ten seasons from 1996-2005.

"Scott was such a wonderful broadcaster and I think the RedHawks made a great decision to name the press box after Scotty. He is in my thoughts daily," said Michaels.

"We couldn't be happier to announce this new agreement. Partnering with premier local sports teams that are invested in the community are at the core of what 740 The Fan and KFGO are all about," said KFGO and 740 The Fan Operations Manager Joel Heitkamp.

"We are very happy to continue our relationship with 740 The Fan and Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead," said RedHawks President Brad Thom. "While the circumstances are far from ideal, we are pleased to welcome Jack Michaels back into the booth for many of our games this season and know the high-quality of our broadcasts will continue for our fans."
