TODAYÂfS GAME: The Red Wings and IronPigs (Phillies) play game 3 of their 4-game set Monday night (7:05 p.m.) from Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA after the Wings evened the series on Sunday behind a complete-game, shutout from Kyle Gibson and a 16-hit, 11-run offensive attack. Rochester has now won 3 of their last 4 and are 16-15 since April 18 after beginning the season 2-11. The Wings currently sit in 5th-place in the IL North 8.0 games back of BUF and PAW... Meanwhile, the IronPigs are just a half-game clear of Rochester and in 4th place in the North... After this 4-game set, the Wings will have an off day Wednesday before beginning an 8-game homestand on Thursday against the Charlotte Knights (White Sox) at Frontier Field.

¨The 11-run margin of victory was the largest of the season (prev. was 9 runs) and biggest win since 6/23/12 vs CHA (12-1)

GIBBYÂfS GEM: RHP Kyle Gibson delivered his second complete-game shutout of the season on Sunday as he took a no-hitter into the 8th inning before IronPigs DH Steve Susdorf doubled to left field with two outs in the 8th. Gibson allowed just 2 walks and 3 hits and didnÂft allow a runner past second base all afternoon. Gibson is the first Wings pitcher to record 2 complete-game shutouts in the same season since Nick Blackburn in 2007. Gibson and P.J. Walters have already tossed a combined 3 CG-SHOÂfs for the Wings this season. Over the last 5 seasons (2008-12), Wings pitchers had thrown just 7 CG-SHOÂfs with no more than 2 in any season.
¨The Wings are the only team in the IL to record a complete game shutout this season (Gibson (2) & Walters)
¨Gibson continued his Âgodd seasonÂh on Sunday... In starts number 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9, he has allowed a combined 2 ER in 35.2 IP (0.50 ERA)... In his even GS (2, 4, 6, & 8) Gibby has a posted a 9.00 ERA (17 ER/17 IP)
MAGNIFICENT MAY: Red Wings 1B Chris Colabello has arguably been the hottest hitter in the game of baseball since the calendar flipped to May. So far this month heÂfs hitting .438 with 5 HR and 15 RBI in 18 games... His 32 hits, 17 extra-base hits and 59 total bases in the month of May all rank first in all of baseball (MiLB & MLB). His .438 batting average ranks 3rd among all MiLBerÂfs and 6th in all of baseball and his 1.308 OPS is 5th-best in the minor leagues and 6th best in the game.
MR. MAY IS IL POTW: On Monday, Colabello was named IL Player-of-the-Week for a second time this season. Over the past seven days Colabello led the IL with 15 hits, a .586 average, 10 RBI, a .594 on-base percentage, and a 1.071 slugging percentage. He hit safely in all seven games, collecting multiple hits five times. Nine of his 15 hits went for extra bases, including three home runs to tie for the IL lead with 11 on the season. Colabello now also paces the circuit with 61 hits, 28 extra-base hits, and 17 doubles.
¨Colabello is riding an 11-G hit streak (.500, 12 XBH, 12 RBI) and has recorded a hit in 20 of last 21 games
DE VRIESÂf DAY: On Saturday, RHP Cole De Vries was reinstated from the Major League disabled list (forearm strain) and optioned to Triple-A Rochester, tonight he will make his second start of the year for the Wings... De Vries made his 3rd and final rehab start with the Red Wings on Wednesday and allowed 6 runs on a tied for career-high 11 hits in 4 innings against Durham. Combined, the 28-year-old, Minnesota native went 0-1, 6.23 ERA (9 ER/13.0 IP) with 21 hits allowed and 2 HR in his 3 rehab starts with FTM (A+), NBR (AA) and ROC... De Vries is 0-1, 8.10 ERA (6ER/6.2IP) in 3G (1GS) vs. LHV... HasnÂft faced LHV since 8/17/11 and hasnÂft started against the ÂePigs since 8/23/10.
¨Walters and Gibson each threw a CG-SHO the start after allowing a career high in hits. De Vries tied a career high in hits on Wed.
THIELBAR PROMOTED: Red Wings LHP Caleb Thielbar became the 3rd Red Wings player recalled this season by the Twins on Monday after going 1-1, 3.76 ERA in 17 relief outings for the Wings this season. Over his last 8 outings (since allowing 5 runs on 5 hits in 0.1 inning on 4/25 @ SYR), he allowed just one unearned run on 4 hits in 11.1 innings with 15 strikeouts... Thielbar, who spent almost all of the 2011 season with the independent St. Paul Saints of the Atlantic League, will be making his first trip to the Major Leagues. LHP Pedro Hernandez was optioned back to Rochester after going 2-1, 5.85 ERA in 8 games (6 starts) with the Twins this season. Hernandez was on the Red Wings Opening Day roster but was recalled on April 7 before ever throwing a pitch for the Wings after De Vries was put on the disabled list.
