The Buffalo Bisons take on the Charlotte Knights in the third game of a four-game series from Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The series is tied 1-1 with each team picking up an 11-6 victory. After a league-wide off-day on Wednesday, the Bisons will host the Indians for four games.

vs. Charlotte

The Bisons snapped their six-game home losing streak against the Knights yesterday. The stretch dated back to May of 2011 and included a four-game sweep by the Knights at Coca-Cola Field, July 20-23, 2012. The Bisons have not won a season series over the Knights since going 5-3 in the 2008 campaign.

On the Bump

RHP DAVE BUSH makes his eighth start of the season tonight. Bush leads the Herd in quality starts and is tied for second in the International League with four wins on the season. The righty has walked just five batters in 36.0 innings of work, including just one walk in his last four starts combined (19.2 IP, 13 SO).

1-2 Punch

INF JIM NEGRYCH (.398) and INF LUIS JIMENEZ (.371) hold two of the top ten batting averages in the International League. The duo is also 1-2 in the IL in on-base pct. with Negrych at .462 and Jimenez at .447. Negrych ranks 3rd in doubles (16), while Jimenez leads the IL in RBI (42) and is tied for 5th in home runs (9).

Gose Flies North

OF ANTHONY GOSE was recalled by the Blue Jays today. The outfielder led the Bisons with 40 games played and had six more runs scored (36) than any player in the International League. Overall, Gose was hitting .227 (35-154) with nine extra-base hits and 12 RBI.

The Closer

RHP NEIL WAGNER is a perfect 11-for-11 closing out games this season, 2nd best in the International League. In his last 13 outings (14.2 IP), he has allowed just five hits while striking out 24. Righties are hitting just .105 (4-38) with 18 strikeouts and no extra-base hits.

Weber Claimed by Jays

Toronto claimed RHP THAD WEBER off waivers (San Diego) yesterday. The veteran was 4-1 with a 3.93 ERA in six starts with Triple-A Tucson of the Pacific Coast League. The Blue Jays have assigned Weber to the Bisons.

The Blue Jays (17-26) and Yankees game in the Bronx on Sunday was postponed due to rain. Toronto opens up a nine-game homestand against the Rays this afternoon on Victoria Day. Former Bisons RHP R.A. Dickey takes the hill for the Jays.
