LUNCH WITH TWINS HALL OF FAMER HARMON KILLEBREW AUG. 19
The Red Wings present a special opportunity to have lunch with Twins legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew on Thursday, August 19 from noon until 2 pm. The event takes place at Frontier Field in The Nest picnic pavilion.
Although quiet and soft-spoken, Harmon Killebrew epitomized raw power. His 573 career roundtrippers rank fifth on the all-time list and second only to Babe Ruth among American League sluggers. Over his 22-year career with the Senators, Twins, and Royals, he tied or led the league in home runs six times, belted 40 or more on eight occasions and knocked in 100 or more runs nine times. "Killer" won the American League MVP Award in 1969, when he led the league in home runs, RBI, walks and on-base percentage.
The luncheon cost is $60 per person, or $500 for a table of ten people. The lunch will feature a deluxe buffet prepared by our Executive Chef David Festenstein. A full cash bar will also be available.
This special event also includes a question and answer session with Harmon Killebrew. Minnesota Twins Director of Minor Leagues Jim Rantz will also be in attendance and available for questions. After the speaking portion of the lunch, Harmon will sign one autograph for each attendee as part of your admission to the event.
A limited number of seats are available for this special event, by advance order only. To make reservations, call Mary Goldman at (585) 454-1001, ext. 3041 or e-mail MGoldman@RedWingsBaseball.com. Tickets can be purchased with cash, credit card or check.
