The Rochester Red Wings today announced that Tuesday, June 21st will be SALUTE TO THE SUN NIGHT at Frontier Field as the Red Wings take on the Charlotte Knights at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a "No Rain" sticker as part of the SALUTE TO THE SUN.

"After setting rain fall records for our area in April and May, we wanted to insure that we didn't do anything to upset the sun so we will be celebrating all that is good about the sun and summertime on the official 1st day that summer begins in hopes that better weather is ahead for all of us," said Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason.

Numerous summertime items such as suntan lotion, beach towels, beach balls, pool floats and sun umbrellas will be given away through- out the ballgame.

As part of our SALUTE TO THE SUN, a special summertime food court will be set up at the Main Gate Grille featuring a clambake bake (dozen clams, salt potatoes and corn on the cob) for $9.50.

Fans really sick of donning their winter coats and using their umbrellas, can donate those items to the Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, and any fan who does so will receive $1 off their ticket purchases, valid for up to four tickets, each at $1 off.

Tickets are available by stopping by the Frontier Field Box Office, or by calling the box office at 423-WING (9464).
