Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (41-25) play Game Two of a four-game series against the third-place Pawtucket Red Sox (33-32) at McCoy Stadium. With a 6-5 loss in 10 innings last night, the Pigs lost their first road series opener in their last six tries. Still, the Pigs have won seven of their last 11 games and are 25-11 in their last 36 contests. More so, over a longer span, they are 31-14 since starting 10-11 (through April 28)... The Paw Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- improved to 2-3 on their eight-game homestand. Pawtucket is still just 2-6 in its last eight games and 3-7 since a (tied for) season-long, five-game winning streak from May 31 to June 4...
LHP Ryan Edell (NR) will make his LHV debut against former IronPigs RHP Brandon Duckworth (4-3, 3.75).
First-pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m.
