Red-White Scrimmage on Sunday

The Spokane Chiefs annual Red-White Scrimmage will take place Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the Spokane Arena. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. Spectators are asked to enter the Arena through the Chiefs office on the southeast corner of the Arena.

The Red-White game signifies the end of the Fall Camp and kicks off the start of a seven game pre-season schedule including a home game on Saturday, September 18th when the Kootenay Ice visit Eagles Ice-A-Rena. Spokane will play three games in Everett at the Silvertips annual Holiday Inn Pre-Season Classic next weekend. The Chiefs will play Tri-City, Seattle and Portland on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Spokane will also take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Thursday, September 9th in Kennewick in their first of two games at the Red Lion Hotels Pre Season Tournament. The Chiefs will play the host Tri-City Americans on Saturday, September 11th to finish the tournament. Spokane will travel back to Tri-City to play the Americans again on Friday, September 17th. The home game versus the Ice will finish the Chiefs pre-season schedule.

The Chiefs will open the home portion of their regular season on Saturday, October 2nd when they host the Tri-City Americans on Bud Light Opening Night. It will mark the 19th time in the last 21 seasons, and fifth year in a row, that the two have kicked off the Chiefs' home schedule in the Spokane Arena. Spokane will travel to Tri-City one week prior to help the Americans begin the regular season on Saturday, September 25th.
