Red Sox Visit DBAP for Weekend Series with Bulls

DURHAM, NC - Following this week's Triple-A All-Star festivities in Omaha, the Durham Bulls return to the DBAP on Thursday, July 16 to open a four-game series with the Pawtucket Red Sox. The weekend homestand between the two rivals, who have battled in the Governors' Cup Final each of the past two seasons, is highlighted by two fireworks shows, Camp Out Night and a Bike to the Ballpark event.
The North Carolina Education Lottery presents Thursday's 7:05 p.m. series opener. The contest on the 16th also features the return of $1 concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda, and popcorn are just a buck. In addition, Thursdays are College Nights where students can get a Terrace View ticket and $5 in Bulls Bucks for just $11 or an Outfield Reserved ticket for only $5.99 by entering the promo code COLLEGE (and using a valid .edu email address) when purchasing tickets online in advance at durhambulls.com. Finally, fans take advantage of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC True Blue Thursday promotion, where they can get a game ticket and exclusive cap for just $11.
Friday's contest between the Bulls and PawSox is presented by Allscripts, who will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina prior to the game. The first 1,000 fans to bring a non-perishable food item will receive a free tote. Friday Night Fireworks, sponsored by Bruce Hill of RE/MAX One Realty, will follow the 7:05 p.m. game on July 17.
On Saturday, July 18, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina presents a 6:35 p.m. game which will also feature postgame fireworks, thanks to JT's Landscaping. The third game of the series is also Camp Out Night, sponsored by Great Outdoor Provision Co., where hundreds of scouts will spend the night in the DBAP outfield.
The homestand finale on Sunday, July 19 features the return of the popular Bike to the Ballpark event, presented by GoTriangle and Great Outdoor Provision Co. Fans who ride their bikes to the DBAP and park them in the secure valet on Blackwell St. will receive 15% off day of game ticket pricing. In addition, the first 200 people to park their bikes and enter the stadium will receive a gift bag including items from event partners. Following Sunday's 5:05 p.m. game, Kids Run the Bases thanks to Nature's Twist.
