Red-Hot Revs Win Sixth Straight Game

YORK, PA . - Behind four home runs, the York Revolution won their sixth straight game with a come-from-behind 7-5 victory over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. York's victory gives them a 2.5 game lead over Lancaster in the Freedom Division.
In a game that saw four lead changes, the game was decided in the 7th inning. Southern Maryland tied the game on a Steve Moss RBI single and grabbed the lead courtesy of a Jake Opitz sacrifice fly. York responded and took the lead for good in the bottom half of the 7th on a Chad Tracy three-run home run, his ninth of the season. Tracy has homered in all three games in this series and has driven in nine runs.
York for the third straight night came away with two runs in the first inning. Justin Greene led off the inning with a solo home run and Eric Patterson homered two batters later for a 2-0 Revolution lead.
The Blue Crabs tied the game with two runs in the top of the 2nd. C.J. Ziegler doubled in the first run and with two outs, he scored on a Jermaine Mitchell single to tie the game.
It stayed tied until the 6th inning. Moss gave Southern Maryland a brief lead in the top half with a solo home run until Travis Garcia put York back on top with a two-run home run in the bottom half of the 6th.
The Blue Crabs wrap up their road trip tomorrow night in York against the Revolution at 6:35. Southern Maryland returns home on July 4 for a special 6:35 first pitch against the Sugar Land Skeeters. Purchase tickets for the game by visiting www.somdbluecrabs.com or calling 301-638-9788.
