PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that they have been awarded the 8th pick in the 2009 NBA D-League Draft. The announcement was made by Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings.

The NBA D-League Draft order was determined by random drawing at the annual NBA D-League Coaches Meeting held September 28 and 29 in Dallas. The NBA D-League Draft consists of ten rounds, and no trades are permitted. Only players signed to NBA D-League Standard Player contract are eligible for the NBA D-League Draft which will be held in early November.
