
Bighorns To Pick 7th In D-League Draft

RENO, Nev.- The Reno Bighorns will make the seventh selection in next month's 2009 NBA Development League draft, the league office announced today.
The draft lottery took place today at the annual coaches meeting in Dallas, Texas.
Defending NBA D-League champion Albuquerque will make the first overall selection. Erie, Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Utah round-out the top-five. A complete list of first-round draft order is included on the accompanying page.
The NBA D-League Draft consists of 10 rounds, using a serpentine format. The date of the 2009-10 draft will be announced by the league office at a later date.
Last season, the Bighorns made the 10th overall pick in the draft, selecting forward Antonio Meeking, who would go on to represent Reno in the NBA D-League All-Star Game.
The Bighorns kick-off the 2009-10 season on Nov. 28 at Idaho. The 'Horns commence the home schedule on Dec. 5 against Los Angeles at the Reno Events Center.
