Maine Celtics News Release

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, today announced that they have activated DaJuan Summers for the Inactive List. Summers had been on the Inactive List since February 6 with a hamstring injury. To make room on the roster for Summers, the Red Claws have waived center Scott VanderMeer.

Summers will join the Red Claws in McAllen, TX where they will take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers tomorrow night before heading to Austin, TX for a Wednesday match-up against the Austin Toros. Summers will then join teammates Micah Downs, Chris Wright, Shelvin Mack and James Mays at the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game next weekend. Also making the trip will be the Red Claws coaching staff, led by Head Coach Mike Taylor, who will coach the Futures Team.

The Red Claws will play five games on the road on a road trip that will take the team out of Maine through the end of the month. Maine will return to the Portland Expo Building on March 1 to kick off a five game home stand.
