Red Claws Announce Game Time Change, Date Change

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced changes to two upcoming games. The start time for the Friday, January 20 game has been moved one hour earlier to 7 PM. The team's breast cancer awareness "Pink Night" has been moved from February 12 to February 16.
START TIME CHANGED TO 7 PM ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 20: The Red Claws will take on the Erie BayHawks on Friday, January 20 at 7 PM. The game, which had originally been scheduled for 8 PM to accommodate an expected Portland High School basketball game, was moved one hour earlier to the normal start time of 7 PM.
PINK NIGHT MOVED TO FEBRUARY 16: The Red Claws have moved the team's breast cancer awareness "Pink Night" to Friday, February 16. The game had been originally scheduled for February 12. The Red Claws will face the Dakota Wizards at 7 PM, and several events are planned for the game to help bring awareness to breast cancer. The Red Claws players will wear special pink uniforms for the game, and following the game, a number of the game-worn jerseys will be provided to nonprofit groups that participate in the special event to be used as fundraisers for their organizations.
Nonprofit groups interested in participating in Pink Night are encouraged to contact the Red Claws at (207) 210-6655 for more information. A limited number of group tickets are available, and groups may be eligible to participate in number of in-game experiences. Each nonprofit will be given table space at the arena on game night to promote their organizations and distribute information. Signed, game-worn jerseys from the game will be distributed to eligible nonprofit groups on a first-come, first-served basis to be used as future fundraisers.
"We are hoping that Pink Night will give nonprofits an opportunity to publicize all of the good works that they are contributing to the state of Maine every day," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "Our players will be getting into the spirit of the event with special pink uniforms, and we hope Crustacean Nation will get in the spirit as well by turning the Portland Expo pink to show their support for this important cause."
