PORTLAND - March 10, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, will feature dramatically improved seating options at the Portland Expo for the 2015-16 season. The renovations were recently approved by the Portland City Council.

"We are extremely excited about these changes" said Red Claws chairman Bill Ryan. "Our fans have always been our top priority. The Red Claws have continually made improvements to the Expo in partnership with the city of Portland. This $350,000 private investment by the Red Claws into the Expo will not only benefit our fans but will benefit all users of the Expo."

The Red Claws are working with Hussey Seating, based in North Berwick, Maine, to upgrade the Expo seating. All of the "sideline" seating at the Expo will be renovated. "Center-Court" seats will now feature individual stadium chairs with arms, while "Side-Center" seats will be upgraded to wider seats with a chair back. All seating will feature wider, more comfortable surfaces.

"The Portland Expo already has one of the best atmospheres in the NBA D-League," said team president Dajuan Eubanks. "With the new seating plan, fans will still see all the great action and excitement of Red Claws basketball up close, now with much added comfort."

Renovations to the Expo seating are expected to begin this summer, and will be completed in time for the start of the Red Claws' 2015-16 season.
