Red Claws and Joe Bornstein Team up for Playoff Ticket Donation
April 6, 2015 - NBA G League (G League)
Maine Celtics News Release
PORTLAND - April 6, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, and the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein teamed up to donate 50 playoff tickets to the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine. The Red Claws finished the regular season first in the Eastern Conference and begin the playoffs this week in search of their first NBA D-League championship.
The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein leases the Time and Temperature sign in downtown Portland and often donates it to local non-profit organizations. The firm agreed to put RED CLWS on the sign in exchange for 50 tickets donated to the Boys and Girls Club. It's a win-win situation for all three organizations, as local teenagers and their families will be on hand to root for the Red Claws this Saturday at the Portland Expo.
The Red Claws' mascot, Crusher, will personally deliver the tickets to the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine Tuesday at 4 p.m. Media are welcome to attend for the photo opportunity.
The Red Claws face Fort Wayne in the first round of the 2015 NBA D-League Playoffs. Game 2 and (if necessary) Game 3 will be at the Portland Expo this Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are on sale now and start at just $6. Call 210-6655 or visit www.MaineRedClaws.com for more information.
