Maine Celtics News Release
PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, today announced that they have acquired 7-5 center Will Foster. Foster replaces center Garrett Stutz who has been added to the Inactive List after falling ill during the team's current five-game road trip.
Foster, 25, spent 30 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce this season, averaging 3.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in 15.8 minutes played. Foster, a teammate of current Red Claw Micah Downs at Gonzaga, was waived by the Skyforce on March 5. Foster has also played overseas with teams in Portugal and the Dominican Republic.
Foster is expected to be in the lineup tomorrow night as the Red Claws face the Canton Charge in the third game of a five-game road trip. Following tomorrow night's game, the Red Claws will immediately travel to Fort Wayne where they will take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Thursday before concluding the trip in Springfield on Saturday.
