
Red Claws Acquire Rights to Billy Garrett, Jr.

PORTLAND, Maine - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, today announced a trade with the Westchester Knicks, prior to the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Maine receives the returning player rights to Billy Garrett, Jr. along with a 2nd round pick in the upcoming NBA G League Draft. In return, Westchester receives the returning player rights to Andrew White. The deal is not subject to physicals.
Garrett, a DePaul product, has played the last two seasons in Westchester, and is the Knicks' all-time leading scorer, averaging 16.5 points per game last season.
White, a 6-7 guard out of Syracuse, played the last two seasons in Maine, earning a GATORADE Call-Up to the Atlanta Hawks in 2017-18. Last season, White averaged 12.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game with the Red Claws.
Maine's season begins Nov. 9 at Delaware. The Red Claws return home to the Portland Expo on Nov. 15. Ticket information is available by calling 207-210-6655 or visiting MaineRedClaws.com.
