
Red Bulls Sign Defender Tyler Lassiter

HARRISON, NJ (March 23, 2011) ¬" Red Bull New York announced today the signing of defender Tyler Lassiter. Lassiter graduated from North Carolina State and was one of the Red Bulls ¬â¢ two second round picks in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft.
¬ÅWe believe that Tyler has a bright future ahead of him and are excited to come to terms with him, ¬Â said Red Bull New York General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler. ¬ÅHe is a very smart and technical player who can add depth to our back line. ¬Â
Lassiter, 21, joins the Red Bulls after being drafted in the second round (No. 30 overall) in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. A central defender at NC State, Lassiter led the Wolfpack in goals scored (six) and all other offensive categories (six assists, 18 points) his senior year. He was named to the ACC-All-Freshman Team in his first year and Second Team as a senior.
