
Chicago Fire Trade Calen Carr for Dominic Oduro

CHICAGO, IL (March 23, 2011) - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Wednesday that the club has acquired Ghanaian forward Dominic Oduro in exchange for forward Calen Carr. Oduro, 25, will arrive in Chicago Wednesday afternoon and is expected to train with the team Thursday morning. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A product of Accra, Ghana, Oduro comes to the Fire from the Houston Dynamo where he appeared in 44 matches, tallying six goals and four assists from 2009-11 for the Dynamo. In 2010, Oduro appeared in 27 of 30 MLS games, making 19 starts, and tied his career high with five goals. The fleet forward has spent time with both FC Dallas and the New York Red Bulls since entering the league in 2006.
Carr departs Chicago after five seasons with the Men in Red. The long-time Fire striker appeared in 82 matches tallying nine goals and three assists since being drafted by the Fire in 2006.
