
Red Bulls Open '06 Playoffs With Home Game vs. D.C.

SECAUCUS, NJ (Friday, October 20, 2006) - The New York Red Bulls will play the first leg of their two-game, aggregate goal series with D.C. United Saturday, October 21 at Giants Stadium (TV: FSN-NY, Spanish Radio: WADO 1280 AM). Kickoff is slated for 2:00 p.m. ET.
Led by team MVP Amado Guevara, who has scored six goals in the last four games, the Red Bulls qualified for the MLS Cup playoffs with a 3-2 victory last weekend. Freddy Adu, Christian Gomez, Jaime Moreno helped D.C. United post the best record in MLS this season with a 15-7-10 mark.
The teams will conclude their series next Sunday, October 29 in D.C. at 6:00 p.m. ET. The team with the highest goal differential after the two matches will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
