
Red Bulls Fall 2-0 at San Jose

The New York Red Bulls fell to San Jose 2-0 on Wednesday night at Avaya Stadium in San Jose. San Jose scored in the 40th minute and added a second half goal in the 55th minute for the 2-0 victory.
New York goalkeeper Luis Robles started and played a full 90 minutes for the 112th consecutive MLS regular season match, tying Kevin Hartman's all-time MLS record. Robles has not missed a regular season minute since making his first start for New York in the tail end of the 2012 season.
Robles also wore the captain's armband in tonight's match for New York.
New York played its first game in Major League Soccer as the MetroStars 20 years ago today on April 13, 1996 versus the LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. A crowd of 69,255 was in attendance for the game.
New York is now 11-17-9 all-time against San Jose, including a 2-13-3 mark in San Jose.
New York is 35-31-20 all-time in the month of April. The Red Bulls have scored 113 goals in April all-time and have conceded 102 goals during the month.
Red Bulls Homegrown signing Tyler Adams made his professional debut and first career start. Adams signed as a Homegrown Player in November of 2015.
New York featured three Homegrown Players in tonight's starting lineup vs. San Jose (Connor Lade, Tyler Adams, Sean Davis).
