Kearney, NE - The Tri-City Storm defeated the Green Bay Gamblers by a final score of 7-0 Friday night at the Viaero Center in Kearney. The win was highlighted by defenseman Ronnie Attard's four goal performance, and a 27 save shutout by goaltender Jake Barczewski. Attard's four goals are the most in a single game by a Storm defenseman in team history. Forward Joel L'Esperance scored four goals on December 7th, 2013 in a 6-3 Tri-City win over Cedar Rapids. Tri-City also got goals in the game from Colby Ambrosio, Joe Berg, and Joe Molenaar. Jake Barczewski recorded his 2nd career shutout, and 1st shutout of the 2018-2019 regular season with 27 saves on Green Bay's 27 shots. Tri-City outshot Green Bay 10-7 in a 1st period that saw no goals scored by either team. Ronnie Attard netted his 1st goal of the game 25 seconds into the 2nd period to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. The goal was assisted by Connor McMenamin and Brendan Budy. Colby Ambrosio scored his 11th goal of the season at 10:39 of the 2nd period to increase the Storm lead to two. Ambrosio's goal was assisted by Joe Molenaar and Khristian Acosta. The game's first power play goal was scored by Ronnie Attard at 14:47 of the 2nd period. Attard's 2nd goal of the game was his 16th of the season and was assisted by Brendan Budy and Zac Jones. Attard added another power play goal minutes later to increase the Storm lead to four goals. Attard's hat trick goal scored at 18:36 was his 16th of the season and was assisted by Zac Jones and Brendan Budy. The Storm outshot the Gamblers 18-10 in the 2nd period and carried a 4-0 lead into the 3rd period.

At 6:04 of the 3rd period, Joe Berg scored his 4th goal of the season to give Tri-City a five-goal lead in the game. The goal was assisted by Colton Kalezic. Ronnie Attard scored his 4th goal of the game at the 13:12 mark of the 3rd period to give Tri-City a 6-0 lead. Attard's goal tied a team record for most goals scored in a single game, and the goal set a new team record for most goals scored in a single game by a defenseman. The goal also gave Attard the lead for most goals scored by a defenseman in the USHL this season. Joe Molenaar sored the game's final goal at 15:42 of the 3rd period on a goal assisted by Colby Ambrosio. Ambrosio was named the game's 3rd Star, Jake Barczewski picked up 2nd Star honors, and Ronnie Attard was named the game's 1st Star.

In the win, Tri-City recorded its 30th win of the season and maintained a one-point lead over Muskegon in the USHL league standings.
