The Cracker-Cats announced today the addition of Frank Reberger to the coaching staff. The 61 year old native of Caldwell, Idaho brings over 40 years of professional baseball experience to the table.

"With Terry Bevington's departure and my expanded role as the manager, I need an experienced coach to look after all aspects of our pitching staff. Frank fits the bill perfectly," said Edmonton Field Manager John Barlowe.

An original member of the San Diego Padres, Reberger pitched 5 seasons in the Major Leagues; in '68 and '69 with the Cubs, and from 1970 through to 1972 with the San Francisco Giants. Reberger recorded a career record of 14 and 15, with a lifetime 4.51 Earned Run Average.

Reberger is no stranger to Edmonton. He was the Pitching Coach for the 1984 Pacific Coast League Champions, the Edmonton Trappers. Frank spent 4 seasons in the City of Champions.

Among his other career highlights are two tours of duty as a Major League bullpen coach with the Angels and Marlins. He's been a roving pitching instructor in the Angels Minor League system; pitching coach and field manager in the Giants farm system.

Reberger also spent time in the Northern League with the Sioux City Explorers and the 1987 League Champions, the Duluth Superior Dukes.

Frank Reberger will be in Edmonton Saturday for in time for the 2nd game of the Cracker-Cats 3 game series with the Calgary Vipers.
