Real Monarchs Visit Hartford Athletic for First-Ever Match against the Eastern Conference Foe

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs travel to Connecticut to take on Hartford Athletic in the first-ever match between the sides at Dillon Stadium on Saturday, May 29. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. MT and can be streamed live on ESPN+ and locally on the KSL TV app.

Head-to-Head: Saturday's game will be the first-ever matchup between Real Monarchs and Hartford Athletic.

Connections: Monarchs goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton was born and raised in Wethersfield, Connecticut, a town located in Hartford County. There he played youth soccer for FSA FC after which he went on to attend the University of Hartford from 2016-2019. The Connecticut native set the school record for single-season shutouts and helped lift his side to an appearance in the America East Championship game.

Notes: Real Monarchs enter the match on just three days of rest after its midweek matchup against Austin Bold FC. On the other side, Hartford Athletic will step onto the pitch following a two-week break.
