The Fightin Phils (42-59) lose the series finale to the Erie SeaWolves (50-54) by a score of 6-1. Severino struggled as he lasted four-plus innings and the lineup managed one run in the top of the first inning.

The Fightin Phils for the second straight game scored a run in the top of the 1st inning as Peter Lavin hit a RBI double off Jake Thompson to give the Fightins a 1-0 lead. Cartwright scored after beginning the game with a walk. Erie tied the game off Severino Gonzalez in the bottom of the first inning as Dean Green hit a RBI single to score Jason Krizan.

Steven Moya hit his league-leading 25th home run of the season off Gonzalez in the bottom of the 3rd inning to give Erie a 2-1 lead. Francisco Martinez hit a sacrifice fly to score Dean Green off Gonzalez in the bottom of the 3rd inning to give Erie a 3-1 lead. Devon Travis hit a two-run home run off Gonzalez in the bottom of the 4th inning to extend Erie's lead to 5-1.

Jason Krizan hit a RBI single off Gonzalez in the bottom of the 5th inning to give the SeaWolves a 6-1 lead and chase Gonzalez out of the game. Severino Gonzalez (6-11) pitched four inning and gave up a season-high 13 hits with six runs allowed. Kyle Simon pitched three scoreless innings in relief as he gave up just one hit and recorded three strikeouts. Seth Rosin pitched a scoreless bottom of the 8th inning.

The Fightin Phils return home to Baseballtown tomorrow night as they welcome in the Akron RubberDucks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05. The largest fireworks show in the history of FirstEnergy Stadium will take place after the game in special thanks to the Pennsylvania Lottery and Pepsi.
