Reading Military Recognition Night this Saturday

Reading, PA- The Reading Phillies will be honoring veteran and active armed service members of all United States Military branches on Saturday, May 31, when they host the Harrisburg Senators at FirstEnergy Stadium at 6:05 PM thanks to 830 AM WEEU.

In recognition of this past Memorial Day, which the R-Phils were not home for, military personnel will be welcomed to the park with a free game ticket, hot dog and soda.

Prior to the game, there will be a voluntary ceremony to recognize military personnel for their services. Members will announce their name, branch, rank, and years of service over the public address system. The ceremony will begin at 5:15 PM.

Also taking place before the game, Beatles Tribute Band Number Nine will be performing (4:00-5:30 PM) in the Classic Café thanks to Coors Light.

Gates will open at 5:00 PM, and the ceremony will take place at 5:15 PM. Post-game entertainment will feature a fireworks show, sponsored by Interstate Container and an encore appearance by Number Nine thanks to Classic Harley-Davidson.
