Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC has hired Danilo De Oliveira Silva and John Chisolm to join the Riverhounds Development Academy staff as coaches and Austin Gorman as the Assistant Director of Goalkeeping.
De Oliveira will be lending his coaching skills to the Intermediate Girls ECNL Regional League U13 and U14 teams, while Chisolm will be training the Intermediate Boys ECNL Regional League U14 team as well as the U10 Boys Pre-Regional League team.
De Oliveira will be joining the RDA coaching staff after previously serving as a head coach at Beadling Soccer Club. In addition to his time at Beadling, De Oliveira has experience playing professional soccer internationally. His professional career lasted 14 years and across multiple countries, including Spain and Mexico. De Oliveria's skills and experience led him to begin coaching in 2020.
Chisolm made a name for himself as a coach at the Division I collegiate level, with previous coaching positions at William and Mary, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. He also coached at the professional level for three years. Most recently, Chisolm served as the assistant coach for the Erskine College men's soccer team for the past five years.
Gorman is fresh off his first season at Robert Morris University as an assistant and goalkeeping coach for the Division I program. He also currently serves as the head coach of the FC Pittsburgh 2011 Boys team. In his past, Gorman worked as the assistant coach at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg through the 2022 season, and he also served with Beadling as a goalkeeping coach.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC offers a warm welcome to all of the new coaches and directors for the 2024-25 year, including Josh Kremers and Joenal Castma, who joined the staff earlier this year.
