Rays Begin Preseason Action Next Friday

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


North Charleston, SC -- The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the NHL and the Hershey Bears of the AHL, kick off their preseason schedule next weekend as they take on conference rivals Charlotte Checkers and Augusta Lynx, both at the Carolina Ice Palace, the official practice facility of the Stingrays.

First up for the Rays are the Checkers on Friday, October 12 at 7:05 p.m. Friday's game is open only to Season Ticket Holders and will feature an open seat policy. At this time, Season Ticket Holders that have paid in full will be able to pick up their tickets for the 2007-08 season.

On Sunday, October 14th at 4 p.m. the Stingrays will host the Augusta Lynx. The Carolina Youth Hockey Association (CYHA) will be selling tickets to the game for $5 at the door to raise money for their organization. Sunday's game is open to the general public and will feature open seating as well. Season Ticket Holders who attend the game on Sunday will also be able to pick up their tickets at this time.

In addition, after Sunday's game, join the Stingrays players and coaches in The Penalty Box, the Carolina Ice Palace's bar and grill, as they sign autographs and pose for pictures. This gives fans a chance to meet the players they will watch on the ice all season long.
