
Rawhide Two Home Runs Propel Rawhide over Storm

VISALIA, CA - Rawhide defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm 6-3 thanks to two home runs. Four of the six Rawhide runs scored because of the home runs. Juan Corniel hit his second home run of the season to give the Rawhide the 2-1 lead in the fifth inning. Junior Franco blasted his 11th of the season in seventh inning.
Peniel Otano, who started for the Rawhide, earned his second win of the season. The 21-year-old pitcher gave up one unearned run in five innings of work. Eric Mendez earned his first save of the season after throwing 1.2 scoreless innings.
The Rawhide now lead the series 2-1 and are tied for first place in the Southern Division Second Half Race. Tomorrow the Rawhide face the Storm at Valley Strong Ballpark at 6:30 P.M.
