SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC is proud to announce that RAVE Foundation Executive Director Ashley Fosberg was recently recognized with an Adweek Rising Brand Star Award, honoring her work with RAVE Foundation to use soccer as a vehicle for success in underprivileged communities in the Puget Sound region.
Fosberg is one of 26 Rising Brand Stars for Seattle, all chosen by Adweek to represent those creating change in the region as innovators and game-changers as part of the publication's city spotlight series.

"On behalf of RAVE Foundation and our entire community relations staff, we would like to congratulate Ashley for this accomplishment," said Sounders FC Chief Operating Officer Bart Wiley. "Our club takes great pride in leading, serving and investing in this community, and to see all of that great work being recognized is humbling."
Joining RAVE Foundation in 2016, Fosberg leads the development and implementation of RAVE's charitable programs, with the goals of using soccer as a vehicle to empower and inspire, to remove barriers to participation on and off the field, and to support and strengthen communities throughout the region.
Fosberg has been instrumental in moving the RAVE Community Fields program forward, which is installing free-to-play soccer fields in underserved communities. The flagship RAVE Field opened at Yesler Terrace Park in August, in conjunction with the redevelopment of Yesler Terrace by the Seattle Housing Authority. Earlier this year, the Yesler redevelopment was award the U.S. Soccer Foundation's Innovation Award at the 2018 Urban Soccer Symposium.
